This workshop will look at the lessons of the labor movement's fight for rights during the Gilded Age. It will cover the Knights of Labor, the Haymarket Martyrs and the rise of the American Federation of Labor. It will examine the role of immigrant workers and women in these battles and draw lessons for the unions and workers today.
